TET Full form 

NET stands for “NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST” and this is for becoming a lecturer in colleges.

SET stands for  “STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST”  and this is becoming a lecturer in STATE Colleges.

TET stands for  “TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST”  and this is for becoming a Teacher in primary and secondary schools.

The full form of TET is Teacher Eligibility Test is an Indian Entrance Exam for teachers. TET Examination is conducted in two parts like paper 1 and paper 2 and it is organized by both Central and State government in India. TET Exam is compulsory to recruit as a Teacher in Class I to VIII, Class IX to X. The Paper I is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper II opting for Class 6 to Class 8.

THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS:

1)You must have completed Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from university recognized by UGC.

2)If you are in the final year of the Master’s Degree then also you are eligible for the exam.

3)IF you have done P.HD then also you are eligible.

4)You must have secured the minimum of 55% marks in Master’s degree and A 5% relaxation in marks in given to the Reserved category candidates.

5) AGE CRITERIA:

5.1 For Junior Research Fellowship: You should not be more than 28 years as on 01.12.2011. 5 years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories candidates and to women applicants.

5.2 Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility.

FOR TET THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS:

1)For Class I to V (Primary)

You must be a Graduate and NCTE approved two years course in BTC/CT (Nur)/ NTT

or

You must be a Graduate and NCTE approved BTC training from UP

or

You must be a Graduate with 50 % marks and B Ed or NCTE approved B Ed/ D Ed (special Education)/ B Ed (special Education) and graducation with 45 % marks is also eligible to be appointed as teacher in primary classes. In this case the candidate have to pass an NCTE approved six months course in Primary education before January 2012.

Or

You must be a Graduate with Moallim – e – Urdu completed before 11-8-97 (for Urdu Teachers)

Or

You must be a Graduate and Diploma in Teaching from the Aligarh Muslim University (for Urdu Teachers)
